If your internet has a password hit the X button and enter it into the popup menu. When done hit the right arrow key. Save your settings. Hit X again to enter your settings into the system and save them. Optional test connection. If you want to make sure your internet is working properly hit the X button when prompted If not just hit the back button, you're done.
A menu will pop up showing you. Whether it was able to obtain the IP address. Whether it was able to connect to the internet. Whether it was able to connect to the Play Station Network server. Whether UPnP was available or not. The NAT type. The connection speed in Mbps, for downloads. The connection speed in Mbps, for uploads.

If you do not know which SSID you should use or if an SSID is not displayed, contact the person who set up or maintains the access point for assistance. Select the security settings that you want to use. The types of security settings vary depending on the access point. Contact the person who set up or maintains the access point for information on which setting to select.
Enter the encryption key. If you do not know the encryption key, contact the person who set up or maintains the access point for assistance.
When you have finished entering the encryption key and have confirmed the network configuration, a list of settings will be displayed. For details on these settings, refer to the information from your Internet service provider or the instructions supplied with the network device. Test the connection. If you select [Test Connection], the system will attempt to connect to the Internet.
Confirm the connection test results. If a successful connection has been made, information on the network will be displayed.
