House dead ps2 game

The graphics are just plain cool. The backgrounds and environments are a little simple, but the zombies and the way they react to being shot is insane. The first time I saw this game I couldn't believe my eyes. The sheer amount of enemies, the fast pace, the gruesome look. You won't really notice the bad when you're looking through the sight of a gun blasting down anything that moves trying to stay alive.

The way zombies react to being shot is amazing. You'll have to pump several rounds into the body to kill one, usually blasting a hole clean through them. Even a well placed headshot may not do the trick though, as some zombies will keep coming at you even with half their face blown clean off. Others are armored and armed to the teeth and know how to use tools for protection. It makes it quite interesting. Story wise however, it fails so hard it hurts.

The script and voice acting is just atrocious. One of the worse in video game history. I don't know if it's meant to be some kinda B movie joke, but it's not funny. It's just, plain, awful. Thankfully you can skip it all and save yourself the headache.

Sadly, you can beat it in a single 30 minute sitting or so, but these games are never really all that long. If you can still find it, it's real cheap these days. Great game to play with friends and after Trigun marathons. Details Edit. There was also 's House Of The Dead movie from director Uwe Boll, which was met with hideous reviews and is still considered one of the worst game to movie adaptations.

This received an STV, Boll-less sequel in which was greeted with marginally better notices. For pure, adrenaline-soaked arcade fun, The House Of The Dead series is hard to beat, so let's rank the main game's from worst to best.

Truth be told, there are no truly bad entries in series, with even the "worst" game The House Of Dead 4 being a lot of fun. It continues the proud tradition of cheesy storytelling and awful voice acting, as AMS agents armed with Uzis' face down another undead horde.

The game was a noticeable graphical leap for the series and featured an impressive number of enemies onscreen, in addition to a sweet new machine gun weapon. If there's a downside it's that game didn't add a whole lot that was new to the series. There was a major gap between games as House Of The Dead: Scarlet Dawn came a full twelve years after the fourth game. I shall destroy everything.

Connections Edited into House of the Dead User reviews 6 Review. Top review. What can I say? It's a classic. What can I say, how can I most accurately express my initial and continued reaction to this?

I think it would be best to quote Keanu Reeves: Whoa. Quick introduction showing you the current situation, and then you're right in the middle of the action, gunning down zombies and fighting for your life and the lives of everyone trapped in the area. The adrenaline rush lasts for just about every second of the time it takes you to beat this, only interrupted every now and then by a short cut-scene and those are fast and to the point, too.

The cinematic style lasts throughout, placing you in what feels remarkably like a Hollywood action flick a well-done one, mind you , where you play the part of the lead alone or with one other. It is perhaps not a long one, but there's re-playability in the different paths you can take, and earning yourself a place on the high score list.

You will be able to beat this whole thing within about fifteen minutes, and potentially in the first try. There are three modes of play, and the two of them are admittedly more or less the same, with the third being a run-through of the bosses. The sound is another issue The voice acting is below par, even for an arcade piece of the time and the lines they're saying just about redefine camp, with the moral being so hit-you-over-the-head obvious that protective head-gear is required.

The ambiance sound is the definition of simple. However, the opponent and gun sounds, despite the latter being somewhat simple, are incredibly effective. When you hear one of the undead though I do believe they prefer the term "living impaired" moaning and see it coming directly against you, the last thing you'll have on your mind will be "hey, it's just a game, it can't hurt you", whereas the current thing on your mind will be something to the extent of "die die die!

Most of the time is spent blasting them away, and when you're clicking the mouse or joystick button like crazy to pump them full of lead, you don't really notice it. About that; shooting said foes in this is extremely far up the list of the most gleeful things possible to do on a computer, and it's an effective and magnificent reliever of stress or aggression.

My father used to come home after a hard day at the job and say "oh, work was awful today It's about the most detailed thing you find in any of these on the other side of the new millennium. You can blow off arms, chunks of legs, heads, the better part of the upper body There's a particular one who only has one eye, and if you shoot his head off, it will fly off to the side.

Details like that help to make this great. Furthermore, this is one of the only ones where you can actually successfully fend off most of the attacks made on you
