I have been and met friends on Boavista that have also purchased an apartment to live on Boavista. Right by the main town of Sal Rei and next to the beach.

I would always want a sea view apartment in Villa Cabral. I went out with suspicion, but was won over, its fine… I would also look at properties on the beach at Estoril. One thing that put me off Santa Maria was the powerful current of the sea. Estoril Beach, Sal Rei end, is sheltered by the isalnd of st Paul? I know of 3 companies marketing properties on Estoril Beach, but not too sure if they are in the advertising section? HiJurgen, You have made the right move to buy in Vila Cabral apartments.

There is hardly any green in Boa Vista. So , very few mosquitos. As for flights, the airport will be ready probably next year for sure. Go ahead with your purchase without worries. If you can persuade Daniel moderator to pass on my details then I would be happy to send you a copy of the videos. Jorge11 do you have definite info on that? I think that time issues are a worry, but hold fire and think where the flights will becoming from?

I have also bought a Vila Cabral apartment. Like you I was very apprehensive about the purchase but I have done lots of research about Boa and have spoken to a number of people who have also bought there they have also been to see the apartments and they seem very happy with everything. Diane, Boavista has character which Sal does not.

I think you have made a decent purchase. Boavista is a step behind Sal in terms of infrastructure, but it will come. I felt at ease on Boavista, and a lot happier that I purchased on Boavista rather then Sal….

Oracle Thanks for the info. Sadly I have not had them answered. One key to all the islands is transport links. How will people get to Boa Vsta with their luggage to go on holiday? The only reliable way at he moment is internal flights. I do not see these being able to bring in thousands of tourists a week!

There are repeated references on this forum about the airport being expanded but there is no sign of this happening at the moment and the people who keep talking about it have yet to provide the sources of their information! If you are looking for a property as an investment then these are surely valid quedtions to ask.

Unfortunately as mentioned above no one has answered any of the questions I have posed. You are asking very specific questions regarding the infrastrucure of Boa, the specific answer is that nobody can give you definate time schedule of the development of the infrastructure because nobody knows.
